The impetus for this project centres around a trunk imported from Thailand. The trunk itself was not suitable for the home, so it was decided to cut it apart to save the glass & metal mosaic panels. We designed the buffet around the proportions of, and to showcase these panels.
Inside the buffet, the dovetailed solid walnut drawers provide storage for the client’s extensive collection of fine china. A large statue of the Buddha now oversees the home from its location atop the buffet.
