I designed this furniture specifically for the Duravit sink – which Ed & Cathy had already chosen. This sink top is supposed to be mounted directly to the wall and is not intended for mounting to a cabinet.
A cavernous medicine cabinet is nested into the wall behind the mirror clad door. The mirror and the faces of the walnut strips are all on the same plane, so the only indication that the mirror opens is the slender tab at the lower corner.
Coordination with the framer and plumber at the early stages facilitated the correct positioning of pipes, openings, flat walls and square corners which made for a clean installation.
